UC Berkeley connects video journalists and filmmakers with faculty experts and campus leaders and can facilitate access to campus filming locations for educational, documentary and long-form news projects.

The Office of Strategic Communications maintains a searchable database of faculty experts. For assistance identifying sources, contact the media relations team.
Filming Locations
Documentary, educational and long-form news productions may film on campus with advance approval. A location release agreement is required for media, documentary and educational shoots.

Two locations are particularly accessible for interview filming:
Both venues are managed independently and charge rental fees. Please contact either venue for booking questions.
For commercial or dramatic productions, contact Kyle Gibson, who runs the campus commercial film program.
